BASIC FUNCTIONS: This position performs moderately difficult research, design, and software development assignments within a specific software functional area or product line. The position should have the ability to work on individual pieces of work and solve problems including the design of the program flow of individual pieces of code, effective coding, and unit testing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
* BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and technologies, covering Amazon Web Services, containerization, operations, and administration.
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving, researching, and coordinating, effectively troubleshooting /diagnose complex infrastructure issues.
  • Have scripting skills with experience of python, terraform, bash/unix admin, and other cloud standard scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience in designing highly resilient pipelines.
  • Supporting, and troubleshooting to meet company security standards using Jenkins, ArgoCD and Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • Knowledge of software version control tools, static code analysis, and test automation frameworks.
  • DevOps and operational skills-building Infrastructure as code (IaC), with Cloud Formation and Terraform.
  • Ability to consult with development teams and take the lead on projects or be part of a team delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working both independently with a high degree of design autonomy, and as part of a Kanban team for more overarching collaborative projects, agile working.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
* Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
* Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
* Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
* Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
* Resolve technical issues as necessary.
* Keep abreast of new technology developments.
* Complete bug fixes.
* All other duties as assigned.
