For 25 years, General Motors' OnStar has earned customers' trust, now offering safety and security services to more than 22 million connected retail and fleet customers globally. At the heart of the OnStar brand are OnStar Advisors-real people committed to helping drivers stay safe on the road through automatic crash response, emergency services, roadside assistance, crisis assist, stolen vehicle assistance and turn-by-turn navigation. In 2020, OnStar introduced the OnStar Guardian mobile app, extending its safety services outside the confines of GM vehicles.

OnStar Insurance was launched in 2020 and will soon be available in all US states. We leverage our unique understanding of insurance and insurance customers to offer a secure, fair, personalized, and easy-to-use insurance experience for drivers. GM has the largest connected vehicle fleet worldwide with over 10M connected GM vehicles on the road in the US today. That number is projected to triple in the next 10 years. Job Description
General Motors is currently looking for a leader with proven innovation, operations, and auto claims expertise. This leader will help GM incubate and launch an extension of the OnStar value proposition, helping create a differentiated, frictionless post-accident customer experience that goes beyond emergency response. They must have a relentless focus on customer empathy and leveraging internal and external partners to develop unique solutions to solve real customer pain points. They must be driven and passionate about leveraging this ecosystem to ideate, prototype, and build an experience that both assists our customers during a complicated post-accident period while also creating a profitable, sustainable business for GM. This role will leverage multiple functional areas within GM including OnStar, Customer Care and After-Sales, OnStar Insurance, etc. while partnering with relevant external parties.
The top candidate will have a strong foundation in personal auto insurance, experience building a claims-related operation and a mission to disrupt the current post-collision market by creating a best-in-class customer experience. This candidate must be willing to take initiative, embrace change and be comfortable taking on an evolving set of responsibilities as this space is an ever changing one. This person must also possess the ability to effectively present to and influence diverse audiences, ranging from senior leadership to industry colleagues.
