JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description:

Seeking a Real Estate Finance Professional with 4-10 years of experience in commercial real estate. Must understand and be able to articulate the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance, including but not limited to, investment analysis, market analysis and appraisal.

The work environment is fast-paced and demanding and requires evening and weekend work at times. Ability and willingness to travel is a plus. Ability to work within a team structure and to meet tight deadlines is required.

The team averages over $1.5 Billion in financing per year including permanent, mezzanine, JV equity, construction loans and loan sales. Investment banking, mortgage banking or institutional analyst training background preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage underwriting and packaging of offerings. Directly liaise with clients. Coordinate with lenders to secure financing proposals.
  • Build financial models for office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties. Proficiency with ARGUS software required.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts, including distribution of offering materials and subsequent follow up with lenders.
  • Interface with clients, equity investors, lenders, government agencies, etc., to complete tasks, execute financings and document negotiations.
  • Gather property specific & market information by researching a variety of sources including, but not limited to, industry, regulatory and economic information, financial periodicals and newspapers, mortgage and lease documents, demographic data, property information and company records.
  • Perform continuous market research of the changing universe of equity investors and lenders. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented setting while working independently with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Other job duties as needed based on transaction assignment and team structure.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4 to 10 years related professional experience Commercial Real Estate, Investment Banking/Finance, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac related experience a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Superior ability to read analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Able to effectively present information to public groups and/or top management and executives.
  • Proficient with excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
  • Argus competency required
