DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

Daytona International Speedway is a state-of-the-art motorsports facility and was awarded the SportsBusiness Journal's prestigious Sports Business Award for Sports Facility of the Year in 2016. Daytona International Speedway is the home of "The Great American Race" - the DAYTONA 500. Though the prestigious season-opening NASCAR Cup Series event garners most of the attention - as well as the largest audience in motorsports - the approximately 500-acre motorsports complex boasts the most diverse schedule of racing on the globe, thus earning it the title of "World Center of Racing." Among the nine major weekends of racing activity are the Rolex 24 At DAYTONA, the DAYTONA Supercross, the DAYTONA 200 motorcycle classic and the Coke Zero Sugar 400. Rarely a week goes by that the Speedway grounds are not used for events that include track tours, concerts, civic and social gatherings, car shows, photo shoots, production vehicle testing and police motorcycle training.

The Director of Client Services for the Southeast Region is responsible for the partner experience at NASCAR's Southeastern region facilities - Daytona International Speedway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Talladega Superspeedway. This person will manage the Official/Entitlement/Promotional Partners, assist the NASCAR Partnership Marketing team with DIS Founding Partner assets, oversee fulfillment of suite/hospitality assets and directly supervise the SE Region Client Services and Special Events teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct oversight of SE Region Client Services team, acting as a mentor to them and encouraging their growth and professional development
  • Oversee SE Region & NASCAR PM teams with Event Entitlement and Founding Partner pre-event planning, plus coordinating on-site logistics
  • Oversee suite tickets creative/approval process
  • Develop suite/premium club area communication including: suite/vendor guides, event guides in suites, letters to premium club customers etc.
  • Encourage partner activation and execution, including pre-event weekly calls, event day contact, management of VIP group for special activities
  • Management of track assets and routinely update inventory (i.e. signage, midway, special events)
  • Look for revenue growth opportunities with existing clients and strengthen customer relationships
  • Work closely with SE Region sales staff in the development of strategies, plans and initiatives relative to new and renewal business development
  • Collaborate across all DIS departments on partnership activation and benefits, suite usage etc.
  • EBMS Partner Order Management, Contract drafting/processing, accounting support
  • Develop post-event detailed partner recap reports
  • Lead planning and execution of annual Found Partner Council events
  • Manage Special Events team, which is responsible for overseeing Suite & Hospitality areas during all events throughout the year, including meetings, conventions, conferences & facility rentals.
  • Ensure all sales collateral (brochures, website, etc.) are periodically reviewed and updated to support sales efforts to secure Special Events, Conferences & Meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by President

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Sales/Marketing/Sports Management
  • Minimum of 7 years of sponsorship management experience
  • A passion for sales and customer development
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of sales cycle and have motorsports industry contacts a plus
  • Relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of the applicable organizations
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic, results oriented and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must be a team player, self-starter, persistent and professional
