Cedar Fair Entertainment Company (NYSE: FUN), an amusement park leader, is hiring a fulltime Director, Compensation at the corporate office in Charlotte, NC. This newly created role reports to the EVP HR and responsible for hands on administration of the executive compensation program and oversight of the direct compensation function. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Mathematics or related/comparable field
  • MBA or comparable advanced degree is a plus
  • 7+ years' experience in Compensation with at least 2 support Executive Compensation
  • Extensive knowledge of executive compensation programs including share management tools
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Equity Professional (CEP) strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, SEC and tax laws related to executive compensation
  • Proven ability to communicate complex data to executives and BOD stakeholders
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills related to complex data sets and equity plan administration
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead direct compensation team supporting base and incentive pay programs administration
  • Manage periodic executive compensation surveys; analyze benchmark date and recommend adjustments
  • Participate in planning and preparation of short & long-term incentive recommendations and distribution
  • Support the preparation of meeting materials for Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors 
  • Manage RSUs and other equity share administration, valuations, plan compliance and grant communications
  • Manage executive salary structures; bonus and communications on bonuses
  • Compile and prepare compensation discussion and analysis for filings
