Job Summary:

The Director IT Field Services leads teams that deliver IT field services support, capacity planning, support application and technical platforms supporting infrastructure planning and business continuity and disaster recovery services. This leader develops near-term tactical plans and a strategic, longer-range roadmap to increase automation, improve efficiency and service quality, and reduce overall cost of ownership. Establishes measurable goals, objectives and operating procedures for enterprise end user devices and peripherals.

The Director supports the strategic business plans, applications, and all related matters for computerized information technology for departments and facilities. Manages customer deliverables and expectations as they relate to day-to- day support and operations. Design, implement, and maintain the organization's end user devices and peripherals. Provides an architectural framework for information system development, maintenance, and enhancement efforts.

Understands user and process requirements and ensures those requirements can be achieved through high quality deliverables. Works closely with systems administrators and engineers to develop road maps for applications, align development plans, and to ensure effective integration among information systems and the IT infrastructure. Monitor technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Understand the interactions between systems, applications, and services within the environment, and evaluate the impact of changes or additions.

Required Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree of Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is required.

Required Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years in information technology and or information security, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role is required.
  • Minimum 3 years in healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience with Security, Networks and Telecom is required.
  • Experience implementing complex and integrated information systems is required.
  • Technical foundation is required.

Required Minimum Skills:
  • Excellent Project Management skills including practical usage of Microsoft Project, knowledge of Basic Network, Telecommunication, and Security Operations, Virtual Application delivery (including operating systems, utilities, Microsoft Office Products, etc.).
  • Strong communication, presentation and customer relation skills.
  • Must have the ability to influence others to work collaboratively to achieve results.
  • Able to understand and relate to the interdependencies/impact of Information Systems on the operation of the WellStar Health System.
