Hotel Viking located in beautiful downtown Newport Rhode Island is currently hiring for a Director of Housekeeping. • Develop and implement strategic plans for housekeeping operations
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the housekeeping department
• Ensure adherence to cleanliness and quality standards
• Train, mentor, and inspire a team of housekeeping professionals
• Implement and maintain efficient operational processes
• Collaborate with other departments to meet guest needs and expectations
• Manage budgets, inventory, and procurement of housekeeping supplies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and industry trends
• Proficiency in housekeeping software and technology
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as needed
