Job Purpose/Description:
Stepping Stones Group and its affiliated companies is seeking a Director - IT Business Relationship Management to serve as the strategic interface with the business units of for the purpose of technology business alignment, integration plan development, solution discovery, service management and relationship management. This individual will proactively serve as the primary IT point of contact to business line executives and managers representing IT in solutioning and promoting IT services and capabilities. He/she will partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined success criteria and ensure committed portfolio of projects are delivered within agreed constraints.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Autism & Community business unit and enterprise leaders both inside and outside the organization to collaborate and ensure meaningful results from our strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the key liaison across all functional areas, including business units, the information technology department, and outside vendors for the business unit.
  • Represent IT, participate and contribute as part of the cross-functional enterprise/business unit team in planning project activities, change management, managing cross-functional dependencies, and risk management for the business unit.
  • Develop strong relationships with business unit stakeholders, IT technical staff and peers to define project goals, timelines and identifying and deploying resources to meet target completion dates.
  • Build and manage a relationship team to oversee 'convergence and strategic partnering' across the organization, including with executive and senior leadership.
  • Proactively sense and anticipate changes affecting IT operations and strategy in relative to the business unit organization and operations.
  • Collaborate with CIO and IT operations functions to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
  • Assume project management responsibilities for technology projects for the business unit
  • Communicate with business leadership to evaluate joint initiatives and proposals to see how they align with established roadmaps and business priorities.
  • Identify business value when developing ideas with a focus on digital awareness, risk assessment, business continuity and business capability requirements.
  • Engage with project and program leads from each business unit to ensure they understand the objectives for joint strategic efforts.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT program management and/or integration management, operational and/or management consulting functions.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience championing organizational change, e.g., leading initiatives, products, services or interactions.
  • Must possess strategic thinking, planning and operational execution excellence.
  • Ability to set expectations with partners and achieve alignment and agreement as well as being able to shift opinions using influence over positional power.
  • Must be able to connect strategy to execution and identify gaps and areas that require improvement.
  • Experience in IT project management (enterprise applications, cyber security, infrastructure.)
  • Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources.
  • Ability to recognize issues/risks, escalate as appropriate, identify alternatives, and collaborate with leadership on issue resolution and risk mitigation.
  • Strong understanding and experience in executing organization change management using positive and collaborative methods.
  • Ability to communicate professionally & effectively to both technical and business teams, across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills & comfort around senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage a high number of high priority work streams concurrently.
Experience/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant field.
  • 8 to 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
