This role will make an immediate impact by…

  • Driving a major cultural shift within the business through deployment of their Lean business system
  • Mentoring lab-level leaders on the Lean program
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Developing and applying Lean tools and methodologies to achieve growth and improvements to KPIs
  • Exemplifying the culture of Continuous Improvement when dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Facilitating improvements based on strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations
  • Developing tactical action items from corporate strategic vision
  • Coaching a team-oriented problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, diagnose problems, and make improvements
  • Analyzing business metrics and trends to develop improvement strategies and a future vision for the business
  • Training teammates, peers, and leaders on Lean methods in both formalized training sessions and stop-and-teach at Gemba
  • Leading and coaching Kaizen events
  • Driving Lean transformation in challenging locations, manufacturing sites or business segments where rollout has stalled or needs a catalyst for change; assisting with Lean rollout in newly acquired businesses as applicable
  • Identifying, coaching, and mentoring future Lean talent to support professional advancement
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required: 
  • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Results-focused with a proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
  • Lateral thinker with ability to provide creative solutions to problems and issues as and when they arise.
  • Demonstrated success influencing and managing remote teams and suppliers for project delivery
  • Financial acumen, apply a broad understanding of financial management principles (costing, budgeting/forecasting)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel (incl. Pivots/Macros) and PowerPoint skillset
  • Experience with Lean transformation and rollout across multiple types of businesses or industries
  • Multisite experience preferred with focus on manufacturing operations
  • Proven successful application of Lean tools: 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, FMEA, Problem Solving, Kanban, Visual Daily Management,
  • Strong business and financial acumen, engaging and dynamic leadership skills, and bias for action
    • Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including training of peers as well as executives
    • Team player that is always willing to coach
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Minimum Education and Experience Required: 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
    • 7-10 years previous planning experience in a multi-site continuous improvement setting
    • Experience implementing complex lean operations

    • All Office Equipment
