POSITION PROFILE

This position can be based out of RICOH's office in Exton, PA or remotely within Eastern or Central time zone preferred.

The portfolio marketing director will be responsible for a defined set of Ricoh's go to market strategies and overseeing their execution for the associated portfolio of offerings, including products, services and solutions. Experience by audience and in-depth knowledge of the associated portfolio suites will be important to be successful in the role. This role oversees or collaborates with product marketing, industry solution marketing, horizontal solution marketing, business unit (segment) marketing and services marketing.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate the company's business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a formal, cohesive go-to-market architecture associated with the designated markets assigned​
  • Build voice of the customer for personas, buyer needs, purchasing decision making, segments in each target market area to meet current and future business goals
  • Partner with leaders across the business (e.g. sales, product, solution, industry, services or channel management) to design an aligned set of strategies, tactics and resources that achieve corporate objectives
  • Provide insight and support to portfolio development team associated to the audience to inform the identification and development of new offerings (products, solutions or services).
  • Understand target buyer needs, market trends, applications and the competitive landscape to identify and realize opportunities with existing and potential new customers within the audience segment.
  • Create a portfolio architecture aligned with the business strategy and oversee existing portfolio strategy and rationalization for unmet buyer needs
  • Build the go-to-market plan to support prioritizing and aligning target audiences, developing effective messaging, value propositions and building content architecture.
  • Create a sales enablement plan and oversee marketing contributions to drive sales' adoption of the portfolio associated with their defined target audiences
  • Oversee launch planning and prioritization for new offerings - including a consistent buyer-centric message for products, solutions and services where applicable.
  • Oversee internal resources and external agencies tasked with creating effective content for Web sites, campaigns and sales enablement.
  • Communicate key opportunities and define key channels, associations and buying influences within the market necessary to drive growth.
  • Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to guide their staff in its day-to-day activities.
  • Conduct routine assessments of the go-to-market processes and address gaps in performance, associated with the aligned audience targets.
  • Manage the hiring, development and retention of portfolio marketing talent.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Typically Requires:

  • BA/BS degree in Business or a technical field; Master's Degree preferred. Extensive work experience may be considered in-lieu of degree(s).​
  • 10+ years professional marketing experience in relevant fields with a deep understanding of buyer audiences - and how they buy with focus writing to different audiences
  • 5+ years managing a P&L and KPI's for a business product or service line.
  • 3+ years of experience in creating and executing product roadmaps
  • Prior management experience highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to senior-level executives.
  • Proven track record of independently, successfully deploying new products or services - comfort with B2B buyer's journey, content and tactics

Additional Pay Details:

Compensation range is $125,000 - $175,000

Position is bonus eligible.
