AMR operates recycling facilities in Kansas and Missouri. Our processing capabilities include an automobile shredder, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, and extensive transportation services. Responsibilities

AMR is looking for a motivated candidate to fill our DISPATCHER position located in Kansas City, KS. Responsibilities include:
  • Properly follow all company, DOT and OSHA safety procedures
  • Dispatch and support drivers. Effectively route drivers to ensure efficient, timely service to customers
  • Take customer requests for service. Review and process daily paperwork
  • Assist drivers with issues that may arise, making the decision to call management or customers
  • Review and process daily paperwork from the previous day, checking contractor times for comparison on billing
  • Review driver inspections and performance and provide reports to management
  • Maintain inventory of available containers for commercial team
  • Perform general office administrative duties and other duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications

Qualifications include:
  • Professional customer service minded attitude
  • Dispatch experience required
  • Willingness to go the extra mile learning the scrap metal recycling industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word and the ability to learn in house systems
  • Class A CDL a plus
