Position Summary

The Distribution Process Analyst is an operational role that supports the North American Distribution Center's (NADC) Operational team as materials flow in, through and out of the NADC. Duties include monitoring compliance with internal processes by examining and analyzing metrics, records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, documenting audit tests and findings. A process analyst communicates audit findings and recommends changes in the internal processes. The Distribution Process Analyst will also assist with implementing new processes when changes are made to distribution processes. This position will also assist the Operations Excellence Team by determining if error rates are due to failure to comply with internal processes, failure in the current process, or lack of a process and then helping to translate those lessons-learned into process and/or training improvements.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Audit current written process with work conducted on floor and identify discrepancies, make recommendations for updates/changes to Operations Management Team.
  • Assist management team with implementing changes to processes to include updating documentation, SAP testing, assisting the Operational Excellence team with the development of operational training plans and creation of uPerform training.
  • Monitor process success by extracting data for Key Performance Indicators and analyzing.
  • Analyze current processes by comparing written instruction with what happens in practice and making recommendations to update documented processes.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
  • Special Projects as necessary.
  • Adheres to and ensures the compliance of Teleflex's Code of Conduct as well as other company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as required

Education / Experience Requirements

  • College Degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to present orally information to small and large groups
  • Ability to interact and maintain relationships with individuals from all organizational levels.
  • Skills in creating and editing documents

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • Fundamental knowledge of key warehousing and inventory management practices.
  • Knowledge of transportation appointment, shipment, and arrival practices.
  • Ability to use Key Performance Indicators to drive results.
  • Ability to work effectively or have working knowledge of an WMS (preferably SAP) and EDI systems.
  • Strong communication skills including effective written, email, and spoken. Including the ability to lead and influence meetings.
  • The ability to work independently and at times in ambiguous situations with an ability to fully follow through to completion are key strengths required.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, inventory reconciliations, and operational controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of process improvement principles and methodologies.
  • Troubleshooting skills and problem tracking/resolutions methods.
