As a Distributor Network Manager you will help to create a world class distributor network by partnering with FPT distributors and dealers throughout North America to ensure that all aspects of distributor sales, parts, service, and engineering capabilities are adequate to support FPT products and drive a high level of customer satisfaction. The Distributor Network Manager will develop effective business practices with distributors to ensure sustainable financial health and growth for the business.

Responsibilities

  • Finding and vetting new distributors: Identify and evaluate viable prospects, vet qualified dealers, facilitate signoff
  • Responsible for comprehensive contract negotiations (administer, negotiate and finalize), as well as responsible for compliance with the contract (address issues, mitigate liability)
  • Responsible for onboarding of new distribution partners - including service, technical support system, engineering system, warranty setup, parts ordering, and functional training.
  • Work with internal partners such as CNH Capital or engineering; advocating for the distributor prospect to get credit approval, integrate engineering etc for proposal awareness.
  • Align globally on distributor KPI's
  • Represent the region to the global network development team - responsible for network development governance - maintaining standards / representing North America
  • Partner with distributors to develop & implement profitable business plans; and communicate clearly requirements for being an FPT distributor and dealer.
  • Develop Distributors to grow and maintain satisfactory end-user experiences with FPT products
  • Engage Distributors to ensure service, technical and sales staff are properly trained to support FPT business plan
  • Collaborate with Distributors to ensure all available technical resources are used effectively for resolution to customer support concerns.
  • Quantify and track emerging product support trends that negatively affect the customer experience and the business
  • Travel requirements: Perform scheduled periodic visits for performance evaluation; support corporate and dealer events and shows where appropriate for prospecting opportunities
  • Position pays $68,000-$85,000
  • Ability to travel 50%+


Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years' experience in industrial network development, or combination of area management in sales, service and business support

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience with larger matrix manufacturing company
  • Understanding or experience with engine applications
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Additional computer background knowledge in FPT systems such as Dealer Portal, ASIST, CSPS, NextPower, and POST
  • Experience working in or calling on engine distributors and/or dealers in Parts, Sales, and Service capacities
  • Background in the free market engine business
  • Proven track record of improving customer experiences through service networks
