Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Product and Sales Education Segment Manager is the Delfield product expert and sales segment lead on opportunities in the foodservice Education Segment. This person effectively communicates and delivers product trainings to sales teams, channel partners, and key customers to build confidence in selling and specifying Delfield products to drive profitable sales growth. The Product and Sales Education Segment Manager is the voice of the education customer for providing feedback on product features, performance, gaps, and positioning vs competition to the Delfield team.

Major Accountability:

  • Delfield product expert and sales lead on opportunities in the Education segment.
  • Deliver effective product trainings to external sales teams, channel partners and key customers.
  • Understand and delivery competitive product and strategies to the Delfield Product Management team.
  • Drive rep and customer strategies to support growing the Delfield business profitably.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Act as training and field application expert for Delfield products in assigned territories/accounts; answer all product usage and performance related questions from the sales teams, channel partners and key customers.
  • Deliver effective product training programs for sales personnel in assigned territories/accounts customized to the appropriate audience and considering the target end-customer.
  • Review sales opportunities and products to ensure profitability.
  • In collaboration with territory service, sales and marketing teams monitor product performance and customer satisfaction, communicating such information back to the Director of Sales and Product Management (incl. delivery, quality, warranty, technical support).
  • Execute territory training programs for buying groups, key accounts, dealers, consultant "lunch and learn", and other end user focused opportunities.
  • Collect, structure, and provide feedback on product performance vs competition and competitor actions to Product Management.
  • Support sales team on large national account or strategic account sales opportunities.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of relevant product and applications.
  • Knowledge of the Education foodservice market.
  • Excellent training, communication, and negotiation skills; ability to address different audiences.
  • Experience in training of foodservice equipment or related industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with key sales concepts of product performance, customer satisfaction, and field product application.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to connect with different audiences quickly.

Pleasant, MI manufactures and markets a complete line of foodservice equipment for restaurants, hotels, and institutions (including prep tables, undercounter/worktop refrigeration, and blast chillers/freezers) and specializes in custom and reach-in refrigeration.
