As a member of the CDC Warehouse Organization you will be responsible for all warehouse duties related to the Transportation/Routing function. The person in this position is exposed to all elements that exist in a warehouse environment where the noise level is usually moderate. The person must be a team-player.

 

 

 

Physical Requirements:

 

            This position has limited physical requirements – may lift/move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Monitor the Time Commitment E-mail for all time commitment requests and vendor pick up requests.
  • Review all orders that go into the warehouse and make certain that the correct territory is on the order.
  • Route all driver routes that are delivered out of the CDC.  Pay specific attention to time commitments and time sensitive customers.
  • Create spread sheets for time commitments and vendor pick ups.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed by manager.

 

  • Ability to organize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure.
  • Ability to read and understand a map.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to talk to salesman, customers, vendors and drivers in a professional manner.
  • Must be reliable and flexible.

 

  • 2 years experience with routing/logistics is preferred
