Job Title: Electrical Supervisor (B)

Job Summary:

  • EMCOR Government Services is seeking a talented Electrical Supervisor for a healthcare facilities management bid in San Antonio, Texas.
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall possess relevant documented experience at a comparable level of responsibility to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical utility systems of similar size, scope, and complexity as related to large Medical Facilities (over 2 million square feet).
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall be on- site during the Government's regular working hours Monday thru Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and shall be available on-site within two hours after the Government's regular working hours upon notification of an emergency.
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall be present during all scheduled repairs, inspections, tests, and operation of the Emergency Power Supply System at the client Medical Treatment Center campus in addition during any unscheduled operation of the Emergency Power Supply System.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance work order execution and management for a 24/7/365 large medical complex program.
  • Oversee diverse team of in-house staff and subcontractors.
  • Be the subject matter expert whose primary duties and responsibilities are to supervise the total work effort associated with operation, sustainment restoration, and modernization of the electrical distribution system.
  • Develops and maintain vendor and supplier relationships to facilitate timely support when electrical system repairs are required and assists in specifying and ordering parts and materials related to electrical equipment.
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness within all electrical rooms, keeping all equipment and spaces in a pristine, survey / inspection ready state.
    • In close coordination with the client representative and the Medical Treatment Facility Manager, the Electrical Supervisor shall review contractor plans, switching orders, and procedures related to the operation and maintenance of the electrical distribution systems.
    • Ensure validation of new construction turnover.
  • Ensure staff and subcontractors adhere to management plans and processes, including safety and quality requirements.
  • Direct scheduling and completion of preventive and corrective maintenance inspection and repair.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with contract requirements, healthcare codes and regulations, budgets, and performance standards.
  • Maintain program documentation and records for The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements, contract deliverables and plans, training, staff certifications and licenses, and permits.

Qualifications:
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall have a total of Ten (10) years relevant experience and expertise in the installation, repair, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of the electrical systems.
  • Five (5) years of experience shall be associated with medical facilities with experience leading or supervising electrical crews performing work of comparable scope and complexity.
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall have experience in at least two (2) Joint Commission (TJC) hospital surveys
  • The Electrical Supervisor shall have documented training and experience with microprocessor-based relays; low and medium voltage breakers; medium voltage distribution systems; substations and large generator controls and operations
  • Experience using DMLSS CMMS is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Valid Drivers License
