Job Description
The candidate will conceptualize and develop 1D system level CFD models that are utilized to directly impact engine, transmission, and electrification designs for thermal management. Simulations may include component, subsystem, or system level analysis in electrification & conventional powertrain. Development of new and existing procedures in the above domains is also a core responsibility.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in 1D or 3D CFD analysis tools
- Direct experience applying 1D or 3D CFD tools to propulsion-related systems (thermal, coolant, lubrication, etc.) for automotive or aerospace applications
- Experience with GT-SUITE, Amesim or similar software
- Experience in MATLAB, Python or similar software
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
- High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others
- Familiarity or practical experience with the principles of engine design, operation, or testing
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms
- Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products

Education and Training:
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required
- MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with coursework in heat transfer and fluid mechanics preferred
