Job Title: RN -Emergency Room

Duties & Responsibilities: An Emergency Room RN provides care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries in emergency departments (EDs) of hospitals, trauma centers, urgent care facilities, and other healthcare settings. They play a crucial role in assessing, stabilizing, and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver timely and effective care.

Triage patients upon arrival to the emergency department, assessing the severity of illness or injury and prioritizing care based on acuity.

Perform rapid assessments of patients' vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories to identify emergent conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.

Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.

Assist with emergency procedures and interventions, such as airway management, cardiac monitoring, wound care, and resuscitation efforts.

Monitor patients' responses to treatments and interventions, reassessing their conditions frequently and adjusting care plans as needed.

Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.

Communicate with patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions in a clear and compassionate manner.

Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records.

Minimum Requirements:

• RN license (GA or Compact)
• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS
• 1 year experience with direct patient care preferred
• 2 years experience
• 3a-3p shift
• Every other weekend
