As a member of the Checkout Engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading teams that develop and deliver the software that powers PayPal Checkout. You will work closely with product, design, and analytics teams to understand how value can be delivered to the consumers and merchants using our software. As an Engineering Manager for PayPal Checkout, you willprovideleadership for your development teamsin all phases of our development lifecycle.In this role, you willbe responsible forshaping the future of PayPal's customer facing checkout products. This will beaccomplishedthrough technical leadership,managing deliverables,and collaboratingacross teams and functions.You willuse yourleadership experience tofosterthegrowth of your team members,improve operations, and cultivatea culture of engineering excellence.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Providetechnical leadership and guidance to teamsof software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  
• Establish outcomes and key results (OKRs)andsuccessfully deliver them.Driveimprovementsinkey performance indicators (KPIs).
  
• Increase theproductivity andvelocityof delivery teams.
  
• Develop, plan, and executeengineering roadmapsthat bring value and qualityto our customers.
  
• Collaborate and coordinate across teamsand functionsto ensure technical, product, and businessobjectivesare met.
  

• Instillend-to-end ownership ofproducts, projects, features,modules, and services that you and your team deliver in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  

What do you need to bring:

• 5+ years ofexperience in the software industry, with2+ years of professional experienceleadingsoftware developmentteams.
  

• Strong critical thinking andproblem-solvingskills with the ability to address complex technical and non-technical challenges.
  
• Experience building anddeveloping engineering teamsthatexhibitstrong ownership,user empathy, and engineering excellence.
  
• Proventrack recordof deliveringhigh quality systems and software that bringvalueto users.
  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsand managestakeholders'expectations.
  
• Ability to coach and mentortalentto reach their full potential.
  

• Experience in building large scale, high throughput, low latency systems.
  
• Strong understanding ofsoftware developmentmethodologies,modern technologytopics andframeworks,and developer operationsbest practices.
