We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Technician at our Troy, Ohio manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead troubleshooting and assist maintenance with electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Understand the fundamentals of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Understand PLC/robotic logic and make minor revisions.
  • Lead troubleshooting with a systematic approach
  • Upgrades to obsolete equipment
  • Utilize technical expertise to routinely develop and train operations and maintenance staff
  • General assembly and modifications around the factory of conveyors and production line setups
  • Provide plant level support for equipment, as needed (essential)
  • Develop, and debug machine control systems
  • Start-up new equipment, including debug
  • Experience with relevant technologies such as sensors, electronics, controls, pneumatics, valves, and mechanisms.
  • Writing of justifications and proposals
  • Maintain and follow company standards for capital equipment components
  • Manage vendors and contractors
  • Finalize as built drawings and documentation
  • Research and analyze best practices in manufacturing concepts and trends for applicability; stay abreast of latest manufacturing technology and leverage technology
  • Interfacing with plant personnel
  • Develop and modify Visual Studio.Net applications (Plus)
  • Develop and Modify CNC G-code (Plus)

This position focuses on electrical aspects of the aforementioned equipment. Responsibility for some mechanical design and components as well as electrical controls will be required. 



Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong electrical controls background
  • Mechanical and metal fabrication experience
  • Hands on experience with in an a maintenance field or machine assembly back ground
  • Familiar with general maintenance tools and assorted industrial equipment such as drills, various saws, drill presses, Forklift, Aerial Lifts etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with capital equipment and implement solutions
  • Strong Problem Solving skills
  • Experience with Building Utilities
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Control Systems design and programming
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Self-motivation, committed to providing high-quality work
  • Ability to work overtime and/or flexible shift hours when required
