American Battery Solutions has a full-time opening for an Engineering Tool Solution Architect in Lake Orion, Michigan.

Job Summary:

An Engineering Tool Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust tool solutions that enhance the efficiency, collaboration, and innovation of our engineering teams. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering tools, project management, and the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, select, and integrate engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Smartsheet, JAMA, Altium, and others to optimize workflow and collaboration.
• Ensure seamless integration between various tools to enhance data exchange and streamline processes.
• Design and implement comprehensive tool solutions that align with engineering and business requirements.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation for tool solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their workflows and identify areas for optimization.
• Implement changes to tools and processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Develop training programs for engineering teams to maximize their proficiency with selected tools.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users.
• Customize and configure engineering tools to meet specific project and organizational needs.
• Implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.

• Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Predictable and reliable attendance.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years' of proven experience as a Solution Architect, or equivalent position, preferably in an engineering or technical environment.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Smartsheet, JAMA, Altium, etc.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle and project management methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a team and individually.
• Proven ability to analyze problems and find solutions.
