Basic Job Functions:
Verco Decking Inc., a Nucor company, is seeking qualified candidates for the Estimator position. The Estimator will be responsible for estimating Vulcraftand Verco products from plans and specifications for projects. This position requires communication with customers, designers, contractors and Vulcraft and VercoGroup personnel in support of all activities related to the sales and service of Vulcraft and Verco Groupproducts.
- Commit to our first priority of "Taking Care of Our Customers."
- Estimate and quote projects from contract documents.
- Data entry of quotes, orders and correspondence.
- Prepare files and manage multiple projects through to completion.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and teammates.
- Be a key team member able to interface with all intercompany departments.
- Exercise conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of basic construction processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and BlueBeam
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience in sales and/or customer service
- Experience with Plan Swift, On-Screen or other digital takeoff software.
- Experience with SAP.
- Willingness to relocate.
