Job Description Summary:
Keeping the engine of the global economy strong and growing, the Global Product Engagement and Program Management team, a member of the PayPal Global Product and Engineering organization, is responsible for a broad set of strategic and operational functions enabling development and delivery of products serving hundreds of millions of consumers and millions of merchants manage their financial lives and run their businesses. We are searching for an administrative assistant to support senior leaders and their teams in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. This position will support multiple leaders and the team located in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Jose.

Job Description:

The Global Product Engagement and Program Management team, a member of the PayPal Global Product and Engineering organization, is responsible for a broad set of strategic and operational functions enabling development and delivery of products serving hundreds of millions of consumers and millions of merchants manage their financial lives and run their businesses. We are searching for an administrative assistant to support senior leaders and their teams in a fast paced, constantly changing environment. This position will support multiple leaders and the team located in San Jose and India.

Job Requirements:
  • Organizing and maintaining complex calendars using a high level of tact and integrity. Will need to know how to schedule meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Manage leader's daily schedule and prioritize meetings. Follow up on request items.
  • Make complex travel arrangements expeditiously and accurately.
  • Prepare and track expense reports.
  • Project manage all logistics for team meetings, off-sites, and events.
  • Anticipate needs and take initiative to solve problems independently.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to make the overall team more efficient over the long term.
  • Follow up on action items on behalf of the executives, as appropriate.
  • Provide coverage when team administrative assistants are out on PTO, sick leave, family leave.
  • Handle special projects as they arise.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Experience in handling a wide range of administrative-related tasks, organizing large meetings across time zones and arranging travel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency and under pressure, as needed to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to act diplomatically and respectfully when communicating with key internal and external customers and individuals of varying levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative to spot problems before they arise, find solutions, and provide timely follow-through on projects.
  • Highly organized with an ability to demonstrate meticulous attention to details, adaptability, flexibility, resourcefulness and efficiency.
  • High level of integrity required for handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • A "can-do" attitude that focuses on getting the job done with politeness and good cheer.
  • 8+ years relevant work experience supporting at the SVP or VP level in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Proven competency using MS Office applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferred.
  • Passionate about PayPal with a strong understanding of our products.
