Position Summary

ITT Inc. is looking for an Executive Director to lead their Financial Resource Center located in Seneca Falls, NY. The Executive Director of the Financial Resource Center/Shared Services will be responsible for supporting over 30 locations globally. This position will focus on driving efficiency and automation through a number of initiatives to continue to effectively partner and closely support the business. Responsibilities and oversight include accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial systems, budgeting, payroll, global travel and more.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead the execution of aggressive goals and identify opportunities to standardize process and procedures to drive continuous improvement within financial and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with leadership across the entire order-to-cash cycle and cross-functional organizations to achieve the company's goals including bringing insights and ideas to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the business.
  • Lead strategic projects, through analytical, fact-based decision-making, interfacing with key personnel.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, policies and practices are in place and that the team is properly trained.
  • Effectively recruit, motivate and develop talent within the organization with the focus on building a high performing culture.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, including establishing and reporting on key performance metrics that measure and monitor the effectiveness and service levels of the Financial Shared Services organization.
  • Lead the integration of a number of new service rollouts, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Lead Financial Resource Center / Shared Services team to effectively drive and manage change within the organization.
  • Manage and standardize processes for assessment and extension of credit, collection of receivables, application of cash received, payment of brokers and AR/DSO forecasting.
  • Identify root cause analysis for AP process improvement opportunities and continue to seek out automation opportunities leveraging the latest technology.
  • Provide oversight and direction for financial-related analyses to support strategic planning initiatives and annual budgets.
  • Lead the development of new sophisticated analysis, dashboards, and metrics to enhance management-decision making using advanced technical tools.
  • Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of Financial Shared Services and business objectives through collaboration, information sharing, and communication.
  • Improve contractual requirements, including Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with Financial Shared Services customers in order to meet service specifications and deliver against business objectives.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License and MBA preferred
  • 15+ years' experience in financial experience; preferrable 5+ years in a financial shared services managerial role. Broader shared services experience is a plus
  • Experience with and an understanding of strategic and business planning methods, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong, analytical problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Advanced skills with word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
  • Ability to manage several projects across multiple departments and systems in a global organization.
  • Must maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to effectively lead through complex and urgent priorities at department and organizational level.
  • Demonstrated ability of driving transformation in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Experience in working through major organizational change, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • A track record of working in a geographically diverse complex matrix organization.
  • A successful track record of driving successful large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated business savvy to work effectively with other Executives to achieve key business and technology goals.
  • Experience with leading through KPI's and metrics driven performance.
  • Experience managing cost and efficiency initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience interacting with senior and executive leaders, displaying executive presence.
