Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Family Partner in the Mobile Crisis Intervention program at Behavioral Health Network! Family Partners assist children, adolescents, and their families in navigating the behavioral health crisis response system, including brief interventions, addressing behavior, and safety. Family Partners tend to the basic needs of individuals, educate them about the assessment and intervention process, and act as a liaison and support to clinicians.

Family Partners model, assist, and educate families about accessing community resources and help during the transition to follow-up services. Additionally, Family Partners provide support and follow-up via telephone or in person, is compliant with applicable rules and regulations when documenting for services, and participates in meetings, supervision and training.

The Mobile Crisis Intervention program provides crisis intervention and stabilization services to children and adolescents throughout the Southern Pioneer Valley. The MCI program through BHN is the designated Emergency Service Provider for the Southern Pioneer Valley. Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938. BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. We are dedicated to offering high quality, affordable and culturally appropriate care to people of all ages and income levels in our constituent communities.

Family Partners at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Are adults who are the parents/caregivers of children/adolescents who are consumers of behavioral health services (required).
  • At least two years experience working collaboratively with state agencies, consumer advocacy groups and/or behavioral services (required).
  • Have a valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation during each shift.
  • Knowledge of delivery systems, organizational skills, understanding crisis intervention.
  • Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Displays empathic skills and have the ability to establish rapport with consumers, family
  • Familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
