Schedule: TBD by student's schedule and departmental needs between hours of Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. Maximum 20 hours per week.

Job Description:

The Division of  Student Affairs is seeking a student to assist with various research projects. Responsibilities will be determined in accordance with their background, but in general includes:
  • seeking out information using online resources
  • utilizing email and telephone communication to access information
  • assisting in collecting and coding data (student will be provided all necessary training)
  • maintaining data by following departmental filing/storage procedures
  • organizing information and providing written summaries of data collected
 Confidentiality and attention to detail are important.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
Knowledge of: Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Skill in: online searching and research; communicating with faculty, staff, students, and others verbally and in writing; accuracy and attention to detail; time management; accurate typing.

Ability to: Perform online research; communicate with others; organize information; work independently; learn additional research skills as needed; handle and protect confidential and sensitive data.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires applicants to have Federal Work Study as part of their current Financial Aid package with Columbus State. You must also be enrolled in SIX or more credit hours in a degree or certificate program. Any applicants without Federal Work Study eligibility will not be considered for this position.

Applicants must have received a high school diploma or a certificate of attendance from an accredited secondary school or a certificate of high school equivalence and be exempt from Ohio Revised Code Chapter 4109. 

Must have reliable transportation or other means to get to work regularly. 

Students enrolled as Transient, College Credit Plus, Undecided, or otherwise non degree-seeking are not considered eligible for Student Employment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 2.5 GPA and above
