Basic Job Functions:

  • Job-site analysis, trouble shooting, and contractor support for NIPG products including quality assurance, product claims and building diagnostics.
  • Manages the customer contact and develops relationships with customers to provide information or instruction on detailing and installation practices for NIPG products.
  • Deliver installation training for installers/contractors.
  • Communicates and reports observations and maintain records.
  • Working with peers and supporting management in a way that leads to a culture of best outcome for NIPG
  • Support the goals of Nucor
  • Demonstrate courtesous and professional business etiquette

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency utilizing computer resources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Proficient in the use of basic photographic equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Understanding of building science and envelope design.
  • Customer Focus
  • Aptitude for continuous learning to develop technical understanding of products, building science, and internal processes.
  • 5 years' experience in the construction industry

Selection Criteria:

  • A combination of technical and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful.
  • Understanding of detailing and installation processes required to make a successful connection of the IMP to the building envelope.
  • Can speak to code compliance and has the ability to see cause and effect of installation process and the effects on the IMP product. Has a basic understanding of building science and envelope construction.
  • Can conduct through warranty inspection and develop detailed and effective field reports.
  • Understanding of the customer needs and to convey those requirements to the organization is vital.

Preferences:

  • Technical Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • Project management and construction related experience
