Our ideal candidate will live within a reasonable proximity (within a 1-hour commute and a 50-mile radius) to one of the above-listed Elevance Health major office locations.

This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1 day in office per week . Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection.

The Financial Accountant position is responsible for providing the company with accurate and timely controls of general ledger account reconciliations and the preparation of journal entries.

How You Will Make an Impact

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assists with monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
  
• Prepares accounting report schedules, monthly journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  
• Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
  
• Coordinates accounting matters with other departments, locations, and divisions.
  

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

• 1-2 years of directly related experience preferred.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy.
