Salary:

$30,600.00 annually

Job Summary:

The Financial Aid Services Specialist assists in administering (reviewing, processing, and maintaining) current and potential student applications and records for participation in the University's loans and Federally awarded financial aid program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists students and parents with the financial aid process, including, but not limited to assisting with the application process, assisting students with acceptance of federal aid through the Banner software program including the E-Sign process of federal loan promissory notes and required online entrance counseling.

Assists with clerical duties, including screening and handling e-mails, telephone communications, greeting and directing visitors.

Assists with resolving customer issues; responds to inquiries as appropriate, and with disseminating information to customers about the services and programs offered by the Office.

Completes agency requests for student enrollment and federal funding verification for HUD, Food stamps, and other forms as needed by students.

Utilizes university software programs in the assisting with processing, verification and correction of student aid reports.

Receives and scans financial aid forms.

Maintains file of Reinstatement Forms for each semester.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

one (1) of experience in higher education administration
