Overview

The primary function of this position is to analyze complex data sets to help drive desired busines s results . This pos ition will aid in analyzing, reporting, and forecas ting sales , gross margins, operating expenses for Equipment North America locations . The position will also beresponsible for month-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Combine and analyze complex data sets that cross several locations and present results in a clear concise manor
• Complete detailed forecast by channel for sales, gross margin, manufacturing expenses and operating expenses for multiple locations
• Quarterly / monthly reporting to Corporate regarding Capital expenditures, deferred revenue,and others as required.
• Aid in mid-month estimates and forecasting.
• Assist with promo and rebate accrual and reporting
• Develop/Upload data sets to Hyperion
• Prepare ad hoc reporting for Senior Management,Corporate Reporting, and Corporate Tax department
• Test, document, and pull records for Audit request
• Freight analysis regarding inbound/outbound and related accruals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Preference for MBA (CPA highly desired).
• Two (2) to Five (5) years of data analysis or managing large data sets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, a must.
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge of general accounting, financial analysis, reporting requirements and computer applications.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. Must be multi-task oriented.
• Must be able to work with minimal oversight with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Be able to develop and maintain relationships with diplomacy and tact.
• Proficiency in MS Office required. Daily use of Excel - intermediate/advanced level needed, including proficiency with lookups and pivot tables a plus. Solid understanding of both Access and PowerPoint desired.
• Proficiency in Hyperion Applications and/or Tableau Data Analysis software a plus
