Job Title:Financial Operations Coordinator 2 - Extension Operations TeamDepartment:FAES | Extension Area Leadership

This Position is Located in OSU Extension Operations Ag Admin

Hybrid/remote agreements are available based on the following: On average, the person in this position will be expected to be on the Columbus campus up to 2 days a week. The frequency, pattern, and choice of days for hybrid work schedules may vary based on the policies of the organization and the roles and responsibilities of different employees.

The Operations Fiscal Liaison provides financial and administrative assistance/guidance/implementation by advising with and supporting county/state personnel, faculty, OSU administration, other OSU college units/departments, and external clientele in routine and non-routine fiscal processes (including but not limited to procuring goods and services), reporting, budgeting, policy interpretation, program administration, while also being the first line of contact and acting as a liaison between faculty/staff and CFAES service center representatives. Acting as the Fiscal Liaison for 30 counties including but not limited to acting as Cost Center Manager to approve all Workday transactions such as, travel, procurement, requisitions, contracts, vendor maintenance, procurement card expenses, miscellaneous payments, supplier invoice requests, funds transfers, etc. which includes a high level of financial assistance, training (including creating job aids, training videos, one-on-one/group teaching, onboarding new hires, continuing education on a board spectrum across the state, etc.) ensuring audit standards are being practiced/met, researching, and implementing policy and procedures in compliance with university standards. Responsible for entering payroll accounting adjustments and payroll costing allocations to all faculty and staff around the state, which includes but is not limited to working closely with The Office of Sponsored Programs to maintain efforts of employees working with hundreds of grants a year, ensuring that all monies/percentages of effort are calculated and applied correctly to payroll while working closely to guarantee that timelines are met and are operating within budget/grant terms. Enters all journal entries into the general ledger for general funding/grant funding and accounting adjustments for 30 counties and various OSU departments to aid and assist in rectifying correct funding for all units to ensure that budgets are met within in grant parameters and align with all funds budgeted within the fiscal year.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.

The pay range for this profile is $16.06 - $21.42/hourly. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
