Braun Intertec is seeking a Firestopping Inspector, Entry Level to join our White Bear Lake, MN location. The person will also be assisting in the quality control of the processes for inspection and will need to help in the performance of the inspections in new construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive training, execute firestop inspection policies/procedures and technical processes, including field inspections and reporting of firestop applications
  • Implement internal firestop policies/procedures and technical processes, including the review of Life Safety Drawings, specifications, firestopping submittals, UL systems, and special inspection reports
  • Prepares reports and other work related documents in a timely and accurate manner
  • Understands and utilizes safe work practices

  • Willingness to learn and understand firestop systems and fire ratings

  • Have mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional safety and quality work awareness
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites and to the service areas of the company on a national level
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must be computer proficient


Required Education/Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-years of construction or inspection related experience preferred
  • Ability to pass the IFC Firestop Inspectors exam with a minimum score of 80% within 30 days of start date
  • Understanding of the inspection and reporting process as defined by the IBC
  • Familiarity with reporting tools used in the industry
