Position Summary

Coordinates and leads Distribution Center operations activities within assigned functions, including shipping, delivery, customer quality, and product inventory accuracy in accordance with Teleflex NADC policies and procedures. This team will be responsible for all major areas of outbound work to include closing out nightly same day orders, working Less Than Truck Load (LTL) orders and closing out the month on the LTL dock and assisting with International Orders where applicable.

Principal Responsibilities

•Directs Operations activities and teammates for one or more functions within NADC.
•Manages teammate time, attendance, and schedules (work shift, vacation) for assigned functional area(s).
•Provides proactive performance feedback to teammates within assigned functions, assisting teammates, providing coaching and corrective action where needed.
•Oversees assigned functions' training, ensuring teammates receive appropriate training for their assigned job functions. Makes succession planning recommendations, assisting in identifying, attracting, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.
•Works with Operations leadership to execute initiatives to improve DC metrics that drive financial performance.
•Recommends expenses and capital investments for assigned functions.
•Responsible for achievement of assigned functions' Key Performance Indicators in the areas of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Turnover.
•Makes recommendations and implements customer service for assigned functions, resolving issues relating to service quality, pick pack and ship requirements, and deliveries.
•Supervises assigned functions' adherence to company-developed SOPs / WI's for warehouse management and transportation.
•Supports the monitoring and reporting of assigned functions' performance, assisting with implementing root cause analysis to consistently work towards improving teammate relations, customer quality, and operational efficiency.
•Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material, dating merchandise, storage requirements, and reporting agencies (DOL, DEA, FDA, OSHA, etc.). Acts as the Designated Representative (DR) for the DC where required by licensing and compliance laws/regulations.
•Maintain and report on key metrics to include but not limited to, productivity, quality, absenteeism, turnover, and Month End reports to Operations Manager.
•Ensure each team member meets all required company training requirements.
•Provide day to day leadership required to bring out the best of each team member.
•Engage at a 1 on 1 level to ensure Teleflex meets team member expectations and provides the resources to meet NADC requirements.
•Work with other supervisors to ensure that each member is held accountable to the standards outlined in Teleflex and NADC policy and procedures. This includes providing coaching, mentoring, and discipline, when necessary to gain compliance.
•Responsible for each team member's professional growth and development, ensuring cross-training and promotability, where applicable.
•Develop team leads to ensure they can run the day-to-day operations and provide input on improvements necessary for them to complete their tasking.
•Responsible for providing servant leadership to the team members that connects personally with employees and customers to create an atmosphere that drives exceptional customer and employee experiences
•Developing a strong bias toward action within the team members that encourages and strengthens the team's ability to solve problems and overcome obstacles at the lowest levels within the sphere of control
•Support metrics for the DC operation and improve them.
•Focus on continuous improvement within the operation and with customers.
•Focus on your personal growth to learn the entire operation

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5+ years of professional supply chain or warehouse operations experience exhibiting leadership capability, preferably within the healthcare/medical/medical device industry
• Medical device industry experience is preferred.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

Principal Responsibilities Cont.

•Demonstrate solid management and leadership ability with the DC employees. Embrace NADC vision of developing highly productive teams that integrate well and seek constant process improvement.
•Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, good housekeeping practices, and GMP's, ISO, OSHA, and other government regulations.
•Contribute to a budget development process for the DC operation that includes operating expenses and capital dollar requirements.
•Ensure the timely receipt and shipment of products from internal and external suppliers
•Gain and use knowledge of the existing systems to improve the operation.

Supervision Exercised:

Directly manage hourly team members.

Skill Sets:
• Must have knowledge on Human Relations, analytical, leadership skills, system oriented and develop a working knowledge of the mechanics of technologies and processes within his/her organization. Analytical skills to include monitoring and trending of internal and external data. Strong SAP background.
• Must have demonstrated ability to identify trends in data and provide problem statements and provide input to solutions.
• Must effectively interrelate with all disciplines that share in responsibilities of his/her organization. Typical working relationships would be with Inbound, Outbound, Manufacturing, Accounting, Quality, Purchasing, special projects as necessary and Human Resources. Frequency level is on an "as needed" basis.
