Full Time Operations Supervisors train, motivate, direct, and discipline staff within all functions of the food and beverage division. Oversee overall stand operations and takes corrective action when necessary.


How You'll Make A Difference:

  • Responsible for daily operational maintenance, and upkeep of all Food and Beverage equipment in assigned locations.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate stock levels to meet business needs.
  • Ensures proper cash handling policies and procedures are followed at assigned locations.
  • Maintains food quality standards, shrinkage, portion control, and records waste daily at assigned locations.
  • Create incentives and motivational techniques for employees.
  • Learn, understand, and demonstrate proficiency in operational tasks, service/production flow, equipment cleaning and usage, and menu items in the location.
  • Move throughout entire area of responsibility regularly to maintain awareness of total operation.
  • Complete and submit inventory and daily inventory sheets.
  • Complete administrative paperwork (i.e. approving shifts, labor reports, evaluations, and employee file documents) as required by division.
  • Ensure that all work, storage, and service areas are cleaned and meet local and state sanitation guidelines.
  • Give verbal direction and assistance to guests.
  • Provide employees with necessary information and tools to effectively do their jobs.
  • Handle and assists in any emergency situation.
  • Monitor that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Required to attend Supervisor meetings and communicate information to their Assistant Supervisor and counterparts.
  • Responsible for maintaining labor and cost of sales budget requirements by continuously evaluating and adjusting to the business needs.
  • Take steps to ensure that subordinates are trained in all facets of the operation such as service procedure, production flow, equipment usage and cleaning.
  • Work with Area Supervisors to ensure staffing needs for assigned location are met and in compliance with Minor Labor Laws.
  • Learn and use clear and concise specific lines of communication between management, employees and other divisions.
  • Respond to and take appropriate action to resolve concerns and complaints from park guests and employees.
  • Train, direct, evaluate, and discipline staff with appropriate documentation. Including employee appraisals.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelinesand requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Ability to learn and use various pieces of food equipment such as but not limited to, cotton candy machines, mixers, ovens, ice cream machines, broilers, grills, fryers, etc.
  • Must have good computers skills, know the basic operations of a computer, and be able to learn programs such as Time and Attendance and MICROS to be able to track labor and sales.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor locations. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions such as extremely hot and cold temperatures, rain, snow, sleet, and going into coolers and freezers with temperatures as low as
  • Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull certain items up to 50 pounds frequently, and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 


We're Looking For:

  • Minimum age: At least 18 years of age
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to pass a basic math assessment.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the park and its procedures, specifically the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to pass a ServSafe certification class.
  • Ability to pass a ServSafe Alcohol certification class.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Open availability to fill a rotating 40 hour schedule, to include nights, weekends and holidays.
