What You Will Be Doing *REPORTS TO* Director of CMC

*PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Pre-clinical formulation development of small molecules using spray-dried dispersion
- Explore novel ways to increase throughput and rapidly identify promising ASDs and formulation prototypes
- As needed, contribute to clinical dosage formulation development for ph I/II (solid oral dosage tablets, etc.)

*ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES*
- Work closely with Medicinal Chemistry, CMC, Biology, DMPK, and Pharmacology
- Manage external vendors for drug product, drug substance, and/or clinical supply chain, with support from CMC Director
- Explore novel ways to improve suspension development and improve polymer screening for spray dried dispersions
- Establish work-flows to create more efficient long-term dosing
What You Need for this Position *EXPERIENCE*
PHD + 1 year experience in formulation development
... or... MS + 5 years' relevant experience and ability to contribute at a Scientist level
... or... BS + 8 years' relevant experience and ability to contribute at a Scientist level

*REQUIRED SKILLS*
- Formulation development of small molecules (preferably pre-clinical and clinical formulation)
- Analytical development using HPLC

*PREFERRED*
- Developing enabling formulations (spray dried dispersions or hot melt extrusions)
- HPLC, LC/MS, UV-Vis, DSC, TGA, PLM
- XPRD, SEM, FTIR, dissolution testing and particle size analysis
- DMPK, physicochemical, biochemical and pharmacological principles
- In silico PBPK modeling
- Managing external vendors (CMOs, etc.)
- Tech transfers
