We are seeking an Import / Export Shipping Coordinator with experience and knowledge in Freight Forwarding, handling import / export documentation, and customer service best practices. You will be expected to work well in a team environment and create and maintain good customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Working with Ocean Carriers and Vendors
• Daily correspondence with clients
• Produce and process shipping documents (ie Sea Way Bills, Masters, Bill of Ladings)
• Data Entry for Bill of Ladings and AES filing
• Coordinate cargo availability and arrange pickup / delivery
• Create load plans based on available cargo
• Follow all standard operating procedures within the company and be diligent in safeguarding privacy act information of customers.
• Review input documents for completeness, legibility, compliance with established procedures
• Maintain the office filing system and retrieve material from files as requested.
• Finalize Billing
• Perform general office duties, including faxing, copying, scanning, and filing.
• Other duties as required by Management

Requirements:

• Must have minimum 2 years experience in export or import Freight Forwarding
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated and willing to learn
• Detail oriented and strong time management skills
• Highly organized
• Able to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated track record of reliability and dependability.
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a strong team work attitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate must be PC literate with MS Office applications
• Compensation based on experience.
• After probation period, we offer full benefits, matching 401(k), and casual dress environment
• Must be able to type 40+ wpm
• Must speak/understand English, written and verbal
