Salary: $95,000.00 USD Annually - $115,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Food Safety Quality Assurance Manager to act in a hand on, boots on the ground capacity for their several-hundred person facility producing Ready-to-Eat food products in Denver CO. This is a newly created position as a result of growth and subsequent expansion of their Quality Department. This person will report to the Director of Quality and have 3-4 salaried direct reports. Ideal candidates will have managed Quality Systems, Food Safety / HACCP Plans and worked with SSOP's. Spanish speaking is a plus. This is a very people centric culture with low, low turnover. They are currently opening a larger, state of the art facility due to growth.

Responsibilities
Manage, Develop and Implement company Food Safety and Quality Assurance Programs (HACCP, SSOP, GMP, GLP, Allergens, etc.)
Supervise QA Supervisors and Lab Technicians
Resolve Food Quality and Safety Issues
Respond to Customer Queries
Manage Plant Pest Control Program
Manage Internal Micro Lab and outside laboratory testing and analysis
Manage third party facility inspections
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Food Science or other related
5+ Years Supervisory / Manager Experience in the Food Industry
Knowledge of QA procedures in an industrial environment (HACCP, SSOPs, GMPs)
Solid Knowledge of Microbiology, Laboratory procedures and GLPs
Experience with USDA and FDA standards
Experience with SQF, BRC or other third-party auditors
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
