FSUS is located in Southeast Tallahassee, Florida, in the Southwood subdivision. Established in 1857, FSUS is a K-12 Developmental Research/Charter school under the auspices of Florida State University. Responsibilities

Responsible for providing nurse care, treatment and/or service to include:

Triage/assessment of patients physically, emotionally, and mentally. Provides illness/injury interventions which may include first aid and emergency response. Administers medication. Responsible for notification of parents regard to health needs including referring students to appropriate services. Follow-up care provided as necessary. Provides health care counseling and education to patients. May serve as charge nurse, supervise and precept with approval. Clinical instructor for the Health Science 3/Certified Nursing Assistant classes teaching hands- on skills in a lab and classroom setting. Prepare lesson plans, tests/quizzes, conduct skills assessments; maintain grades & attendance in Focus. Coordinates curriculum with the Health Science 3 classroom structure. Responsible for school wide health services which include identification, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of student health.

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, or an Associates Degree and two years of experience, or a Nursing Diploma and four years of experience.

Valid Registered Nursing (RN) License

Ability to teach nursing classes to students

Schedule This is a 10 month position that aligns with the school year. Some summer work may be required.Criminal Background Check
