On this team you will be working with a wide range of technologies including:

  • RESTful microservices and APIs
  • JavaScript and React.js in a custom UI framework, Sass (good to have)
  • AWS services including RDS, S3, EC2, Lambda, Batch, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, DynamoDB
  • Java, J2EE
  • Python (good to have)
  • Spring boot, Spring batch (good to have)
  • MySQL, Oracle, and Greenplum databases
  • Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Maven/Gradle
  • Test Automation using relevant Java libraries (good to have)
  • IBM DataStage ETL (good to have)


The ideal candidate will exhibit:

Responsibilities in this role:
  • Partnering with Product Manager and/or Product owner and business users for grooming, sprint planning sessions and other agile ceremonies.
  • Collaborating with the Lead Developer, Architect and Technical Program Manager on solutions design.
  • Developing new features and capabilities, both on-prem and in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Writing quality, secure, performant code and unit tests including Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Leading and participating in design and code reviews and mentoring other junior developers and contractors.
  • Operations and support of the production system, including on-call duties.


Minimum Job Qualifications and Technical Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years relevant experience in a multi-platform environment, including, but not limited to application development or database development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Java programming languages, as well as React.js; use of AWS services, MySQL, and Oracle databases.
