Job Title: Carton and Label Line Assembler I

Hourly/Salary: Hourly

Grade Level: BN1

Status: Full-time

Department\: Mill

Reports to: Travis Locklear, Production Supervisor

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (some overtime on Fridays)

Hourly Rate: Min $14.35, Midpoint $17.94, Maximum $21.53





SUMMARY:

The Carton and Label Assembler reports to the Production Supervisor in the Mill department and will have full responsibility for ensuring all cartons and labels for cabinet packaging are the correct size and the label has the correct item number to support the company’s quality compliance programs.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Works on the mill line and accurately selects the correct carton size for the product that is being produced on the line.
* Ensures the correct label is produced and affixed properly on the carton.
* Checks for quality to ensure the carton size is correct and the corresponding label has the correct item number prior to affixing it to the carton.
* Notifies the Team Lead or the Supervisor of potential problems impacting the production line.
* Performs cleaning at the end of the shift to prepare for the next day.
* Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards.
* Responsible for meeting productivity requirements.
* Performs other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:


* High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
* Ability to work in a manufacturing setting with a focus on quality.
* Strong work ethic and the ability to get along with all members of the team and the plant.
* Physical Requirements: Able to frequently lift, carry or move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Able to bend, stoop and crouch to inspect materials or place labels. Consistently able to move about to coordinate work.
* Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
* Be able to model AWC C.I.T.E Principles.
