Florida State University Panama City- Finance and Administration Department.
Responsibilities* Complete yard work and preventative maintenance and repairs on yard equipment. Maintain irrigation systems, roadways, and parking areas.
* Assist in building maintenance which consists of painting, drywall, carpentry, a/c systems, electrical systems, including water and sewer lines, doors and windows, gas and electric welding, and soldering.
* Assist with set-ups for special functions on and off campus.
* Assist with other duties as directed by the supervisor.
High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.
(Note: Technical or vocational degree in appropriate building trade area may substitute for experience.)
Knowledge of the practices and the ability to perform skilled carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other related trades work.
Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Ability to utilize problem-solving and technical skills related to the position's responsibilities to complete assigned tasks.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of and ability to safely operate machinery, tools, equipment, and materials used in area of work.
Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
A valid State of Florida Class E, or the ability to obtain upon hire.
Knowledge of the practices and the ability to perform skilled carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other related trades work.

The minimum hiring salary for this position is $32,920 and is commensurate with experience and education.
