Position Summary

Job Summary: The Global Engineering Configuration Supervisor is responsible to perform package product and process design standardization and management of product configuration systems, rules, and maintenance of the companies E-Prism product configuration tool. Provide direct supervision to configuration analysts, including project planning, training & development, performance planning, and performance improvement. Provide effective leadership to maintain high morale and clear direction.
Essential Responsibilities

• Management of product configuration software, systems, rules, and maintenance in E-Prism

• Identify opportunities for product standardization working with Factory Engineering and R&D personnel. Create standardized designs of package components and processes for design & engineering of centrifugal pump packaging. Accountability for directing design projects with offshore design teams.

• Work with IT groups to identify and design solutions for the E-Prism tool to increase product configurability and reduce manual bill of material modification.

• Provide direct supervision to configuration analysts, including project planning, training & development, performance planning, and performance improvement.

• Supports IP Product Global Operations (supports all global sites) with ePrism Configuration technical support, maintenance, and training.
Position Requirements

• 5 years of experience in product design & manufacturing, centrifugal pump experience is preferred• 4 year Engineering degree (mechanical preferred)• Black Belt or Lean Certification is preferred• 2 years of experience managing a team of 2-3 people• Understanding of product configuration tools, configuration management systems, and bills of material management• Strong analytical skills and decision making ability• PLM Data Management Systems, PTC Windchill preferred• ERP systems such as SAP, BPICS, EPICOR, ERPLx, or PRMS• Understanding of SQL & Java (coding experience not required) • Solid Modeling programs, PTC Creo preferred Hands on go-getter that can manage upwards when necessary, must be able to function independently
