Description:

In this role the ability to own and drive project work; skilled in project planning, project schedules, tracking issues/risks, issue resolution, status reporting, working with third party vendors, managing business expectations, working with multiple stakeholders, and project organization is required. Responsible for the success of new projects and programs through international leadership of assignments and mentoring of project managers in the areas of professional conduct, project management methodology, the use of project management tools, interpersonal skills and navigation of the project gateway/toll process, project change request process and the approval process. Participates in the coaching, mentoring, and training of others.

The Global HRIS Project Lead will manage subordinate staff-offshore in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. The Global HRIS Project Lead will require 4-7 years' experience in Project Management and Delivery. Some supervisory experience is required. 1-2 years' experience in Oracle CORE HR, Checklist, Absence and Time & Labor would be expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand the strategy and future direction of the organization, as well as challenges and opportunities that are inherent to that strategy and direction.
  • Ensure that the objectives and priorities of the project or program are aligned with the company's strategic direction.
  • Directs the activities of individuals representing multiple business areas to achieve results in a matrix organizational structure, managing across the organization to achieve project objectives.
  • Acts as key technical/functional liaison between HR Operations/HRIS leadership and the Business Owners.
  • Will be a partner of the HR Business Owners.
  • Ensures Change Request and bug fixes are clearly identified, and appropriate security/access documented.
  • Ensures all IT controls and SoX audits are enforced and followed.
  • Partners effectively with HRIS staff to manage enhancements or system changes, produces solid documentation.
  • Ability to coach and share project management knowledge with various operational and team resources; can educate and communicate expertise in knowledge that is appropriate and easily understood by both technical and functional team members and customers.
  • Works with appropriate members of team to develop and adhere to appropriate service level agreements (SLA's) to maintain system uptime and connectivity; ensures all SLA's are met by Managed Service Provider. Manages offshore and onshore teams as well as managed service provider resources.
  • Ensures security policies and procedures are followed and enforced.
  • This role will manage resources and operations across global locations and time zones as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as needs and global business growth demand.
  • Required:
  • Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years related work experience

  • Outstanding written and verbal communications; ability to communicate complex technical matters to all levels of leadership, aligning communication style to the needs of the customer
  • Excellent project management skills with detailed understanding of SDLC methodologies, with ability to hold self and project resources accountable for deliverables
  • Good judgment when addressing business requests, responding to inquiries, escalating matters, etc.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
