The GME Associate Program Director - Dept of Internal Medicine Spalding is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Love teaching residents? Position available immediately for a full-time GME Associate Program Director - Dept. of Internal Medicine Spalding, member at Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital, a community-based hospital located in Griffin, GA.

Wellstar Spalding Regional Hospital is a 160-bed hospital serving the residents of Spalding, Pike, Lamar, Butts, Upson and Henry Counties. It is located just one hour south of downtown Atlanta and approximately 30 minutes south of the Atlanta's International Airport.

Join a fully-accredited Internal Medicine residency training program with committed core faculty and a solid track record of academic achievement and subspecialty fellowship placements. Our GME Internal Medicine group has enjoyed long-term faculty retention and is currently expanding to include an additional full-time faculty member.

Primary responsibility is outpatient/ambulatory supervision/teaching of IM residents. Candidate expected to provide resident lectures, support residents in scholarly activities and assist with ACGME accreditation requirements.

Must be board certified in Internal Medicine. Prior GME involvement is preferred.
