Position Summary:

The Guest Service Supervisor, under the direction of the Assistant Director of Patient and Visitor Services, is responsible for serving in the supervisory role as a group/team mentor and resource liaison. Duties include: maintaining the operations of the department and promoting Service Excellence; training, coaching and motivating Guest Services staff; scheduling and organizing work assignments; maintaining employee training and resource manual; routinely observing staff at work stations and identifying, analyzing and developing solutions to team/group related challenges. Must be familiar with Human Resources policies and procedures to conduct performance appraisals and make recommendations on selection, promotion, merit increases and employee discipline.


Associates degree in business/management or related field.

Minimum of four years of relevant supervisory experience in health care or customer service environment is preferred

Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures of a Guest Services program.

Experience in staff/team development and training including demonstrated knowledge of group dynamics and effective management techniques.

Analytical ability is required to investigate patient concerns and deliver Service Recovery.
