SUMMARY:

Responsible for successful hardware solutions delivery to all OEM's and continuous improvement of internal and external projects. Responsible for the hardware vision, roadmap and backlog to develop products and services that meet the customer's needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management Skills:
    • Actively work at both the strategic and tactical levels, from high-level vision, roadmap and service strategy to participating in the day-to-day delivery of individual features and stories for the hardware group.
    • Communicate and translate hardware requirement quotes between customer and internal development teams.
    • Work with business and customer stakeholders to define product objectives and requirements.
    • Manage customer expectations with respect to the projects, requirements, design, deliverables, warranty and all aspects of the Project Management Life Cycle.
    • Provide regular documented updates to customer, team, stakeholders regarding all aspects of the project.
    • Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources and lead the projects by active participation in the right direction in a timely manner.
    • Manage change and actively participate in information updates with concerned teams for smoother execution.
    • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
    • Reporting Periodic Project status by cost, budget and scope to upper management.
    • Lead the hardware forecast meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the order fulfillment.
    • Develop, maintain, and actively participate with the team using project management deliverables for the successful launch and continuous delivery of projects, including: implementation plan, project schedule, project budget and variances, issues & action items log, meeting minutes, risks assessment and contingencies.
    • Active participation with customer teams to identify areas in need of improvement to increase customer satisfaction and decrease support requests.
    • Anticipate problems and complications, and formulate solutions to actively lead the team to keep the progress of the project on schedule.
    • Accountable with the team for on time product delivery, product quality, cost, and operations.
    • Serve as the product owner in Agile / SCRUM development process:
      • Bring together views and input from a wide range of contributors, such as stakeholders, developers and user researchers, on the product vision, definition and delivery approach.
      • Create a vision for the product.
      • Communicate the project vision to the team.
      • Motivate the team to subscribe to the product vision.
      • Communicate the business benefits of the entire product and each individual feature.
      • Organize, chair, and participate in Backlog Refinement Meetings to create, prioritize, and groom Product Backlog Items together with the Epic Owners and the Development Team.
      • Continuously answer questions to add detail to requirements
      • Accept/reject developed user stories at the end of the sprint (or during the sprint).
      • Communicate about the project within the organization and to customers (e.g. demo attendance and invites, forecasting, management reporting, sponsor liaison).
      • Participate in the daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings and Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
      • Engage the Customer in the project development, continues feedback and releases and the full Scrum process.
    • Ensure standard operating procedures and project guidelines are in place
    • Comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
    • Within the position's scope, contribute to completion of departmental objectives (technical, financial, quality).
    • Maintain awareness of, and meet, the requirements of the Company Quality System.
    • Required to observe all safety rules and regulations.
    • Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around work area.
    • Employee duties are not limited to those stated above, but are inclusive of any tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proficient in handling the most complex of technical customer hardware solutions , latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques.
    • Forecasting and monitoring order management systems for timely order fulfillment.
    • Work with vendors and suppliers to set expectations of the order fulfillment.
    • Possess good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements.
    • Provide initial investigation, assessment and debugging of customer issues.
    • Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.
    • Actively provide direction and technical expertise by participation in design, development and systems integration activities.
    • Must provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members.
    • Develop Acceptance Test Plans with technical team to ensure that the design intent and customer requirements are met.
    • Translate from software terminology to customer appropriate concepts
    • Support customer IT review and approval processes including providing software documentation in customer format.
    • Reconcile MAHLE tool chain against customer IT standards.
  • Leadership
    • Effectively lead teams by example thru active participation and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence.
    • Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required.
    • Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues.
    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in a Technical field (Engineering)-Required
    • 2 years of Technical Project Management/Agile Product Owner experience-Required
    • Prior experience in Hardware solutions delivery and vendor management.(required)
    • Knowledge of vehicle components and diagnostics-Desired
    • Outstanding communication and leadership skills-Required
    • Strong project management skills with the proven ability to actively work on and track multiple projects simultaneously (Required)
    • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing products and solving problems (Required)
    • Technically savvy and able to ramp up on new technologies quickly (Required)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical individuals. (Required)
    • Self-starter, helping out the team with whatever needs to be done (Required)
    • Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Required)
    • Hands-on experience in software/hardware development (Required)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Required)
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills (Required)
    • Experience in troubleshooting, software development processes and ability to understand and implement client requirements (Required)
    • Ability to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation (Required)
    • PMI-ACP Certification (Desired)
    • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certification (Desired)
