We are recruiting for aproven andexperienced Health and Benefit Consultant reporting to the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore offices.

Health and Benefits Consultant

What can you expect?

  • The Health and Benefits Consultant acts as a consultant on some client accounts and/or supports the lead consultant in managing client accounts in the large/jumbo market.
  • The consultant interacts with clients and develops relationships, is involved in developing strategies to meet clients' needs, and takes on the role of a trusted advisor.
  • The consultant will also manage projects and lead teams in researching, analyzing, and evaluating medical, dental, life and disability benefits plans and programs.

We will count on you to have:
  • Four to seven years of industry related experience; group health and benefit plans, or human resources
  • Subject matter expert in Health & Benefit products, services, technical tools, and vendor/carrier markets.
  • Ability to partner and lead teams to deliver project objectives; ability to work independently and on a team
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with data and analysis

What you need to have:
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Proven relationship management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment often at the last minute
  • Strong project management skills managing a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to scale communication up and/or down when articulating data and strategy
  • Critical thinking abilities in a dynamic employer focused healthcare environment
