In your Health and Safety Leader role, you'll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world.

This role will provide organizational and functional leadership to ensure that the Maumelle Plant implements EHS systems that meet Kimberly-Clark Best Practices and federal and state regulatory requirements. The incumbent will provide leadership for continuous improvement in all EHS activities in support of achieving a loss-free environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the health and safety technical resource to all employees at the Maumelle Mill.

  • Work with site leaders to achieve health and safety objectives for the site.

  • Support and build capability for continuous improvement in all health and safety activities.

  • Keep records of health and safety performance measurements and metrics.

  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Create and foster programs that lead to the creation of a culture where safety is recognized as a value and employees are motivated to develop and to use safe work habits.

  • Prepare materials and content for safety communications, training, and meetings.

  • Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Provide management and leadership in health and safety loss prevention.

  • Responsible for safety initiatives that achieve site safety objectives and result in an improvement in the site safety performance.

  • Ensure site compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal and state mandated safety regulations.

  • Lead the team that implements site-wide health and safety initiatives which will include such programs as hazardous energy control, machine safeguarding, ergonomics and other programs as required to reach safety objectives.

  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve their individual/team contributions to achieve desired business results.

About You:

A strong safety culture depends on dedicated leaders. They are the people who spearhead the fight for a safer work environment. A good safety leader isn't shy about bringing concerns to the attention of their superiors or about encouraging others to do their part to keep themselves and others safe.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree preferably in Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Three or more years of manufacturing experience preferably with at least 3 years in an environmental, health and safety role

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal and state agencies

  • Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a safety role.

  • Experience in a plant and staff safety role.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.

  • One year management and leadership experience

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
