Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to "Expand Beyond" our core business. As a part of Nucor's New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. Basic Job Functions:

Seeking a creative, forward-thinking, process-minded effective communicator to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and a wide range of HR support to our team members across numerous locations including but not limited to:

  • Manageall phases of talent management and performance management;
  • Manageall compliance requirements such as policy formation, standardization efforts and HR related audits;
  • Coordinateand manage all aspectstraining and development;
  • Support pre-employment and onboarding requirements;
  • Coordinatediversity, equity and inclusion initiatives;
  • Assistwith talent acquisition efforts across all locations for NTS;
  • Assist in managing various company sponsored employee relations programs;

This position will be in Rock Hill, SC but will require travel to other production facilities on an as-needed basis.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required from an accredited University.
  • At least two years of human resources experience.
  • Prior experience using/knowledge of SuccessFactors.
  • SAP payroll, MS Office, and HR related systems experience.
  • Commitment to safety; actively involved in safety initiatives.


  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience using NOVAtime.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations talent systems and understand, interpret, and report analytics.
    • Benefits Administration Experience.
    • Experience in diversity, equity and inclusion.
    • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in the US.
    • SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR certification.
