Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for an HRIS Project Manager to join our HR department. This position is a full-time opportunity based out of our regional office located in Rockville, Maryland with a hybrid work model.

Reporting to a Director of HR Operations, the HRIS Project Manager will lead and manage the technology portfolio across HR, facilitates the collaboration within the HR team and across the organization to guide business strategy through data, and will manage an HRMS Analyst. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing HR systems and process improvement solutions, including delivery of service that optimizes employees’ experience, alignment with organizational goals and support of future growth, integration of data for analytical insights, and driving HR operational excellence.

You can expect to:

  • Oversees HR reporting and analytics for the organization. Develop repository of HR data, including dashboards of key metrics, to ensure regular access to critical information is available to key stakeholders in support of strategic decision-making initiatives and for ongoing measurement and continual improvement
  • Supervise and provide leadership support to the HRMS team, including an HRMS Analyst and HRMS Intern
  • Provide transparent and timely reporting to all stakeholders. Ensure project sponsors and stakeholders are regularly engaged for input. Manage and escalate project risks and issues as appropriate, communicate corresponding mitigation plans, and establish success metrics for projects and ensure project performance is tracked and measured
  • Develop the optimization for the use of HR tools, drive HR process optimization and standardization while balancing the business need for flexibility and employee experience. Research and recommend changes for new or modified systems, equipment, and software to meet changing requirements
  • Manage project roadmap and keep track of progress by updating schedule/timeline, informing key stakeholders and team members of next steps and responsibilities, setting up meeting agendas, and circulating meeting notes
  • Partners as an HR technology portfolio lead for the design, implementation, delivery, evaluation, security, compliance, and maintenance of all HR systems

What is required:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR management systems and project management experience
  • Proficiency with administration of an HRIS is required; UKG HRIS experience is preferred
  • Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence, Excel, Tableau or other reporting tool is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing priorities as needed
  • The ability to commute to Rockville, MD one day per week
  • Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia area
  • Must provide proof of Covid booster vaccine (released in September 2023) and influenza vaccine as a condition of employment
